You may not have heard of us prior to your induction, and for that matter, you may not have heard much about us since your induction.  Yet, our chapter here at NCSU is hoping to see that change.

We have three main goals for this academic year. 

1) To increase the efficiency of running the chapter and to clarify the responsibilities thereof.

2) To facilitate open and more frequent communication between members and officers.

3) To contribute to cooperation amongst the various departments and organizations of the College of Design.

Towards these ends:

We have created this chapter website, to help clarify responsibilities for future officers, to easily distribute the latest chapter news to our members, to allow our members and the university at large to see and know what we as an organization are doing at all times and to put ourselves just an e-mail, a phone call, or an IM away.

We have created a list serv to aid in the communication between our members.

We have proposed an online collegiate forum to discuss academic issues and are investigating implementation of said forum.

We have assumed responsibility of the Graduate Exhibition at the end of each semester, where we will work to further the spirit of interdepartmental cooperation and with which we hope to show our prospective members that we are an organization that seeks active participation.

As the year progresses we hope that we will have come closer towards achieving these particular goals, but we are always open to suggestions from other students and faculty concerning other endeavors towards which we might strive.    We are seeking to benefit the college as a whole, and we cannot do that isolated from it.
